A. Primary Duties

1. Conceptualizes the unit's investor relations program, undertakes its strategic planning to identify program objectives, strategies and activities, and oversees its effective implementation.

2. Develops, directs, manages and coordinates the implementation of the communication plan of the economic team composed of the Heads of Departments of Finance, Budget and Management, Trade and Industry and Energy, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas and the National Economic Development Authority as it relates to the achievement of the objectives and strategies of the investor relations program.

3. Informs the economic team about market feedback on policy developments, policy stance and proposed policy measures and if necessary, suggest policy options for their consideration.

4. Develops, directs, and coordinates the execution and maintenance of active channels of information flow and dialogue between the economic team and domestic and foreign investors, credit rating agencies, financial institutions, and other stakeholders such as those in the public and private sector, and the academe.

5. Directs and manages policy and market research agenda, covering macroeconomic, fiscal, monetary, financial, trade, real and energy sectors, and global and regional market issues, supporting the investor relations program and its associated communications component.

6. Develops and disseminates clear statements of macroeconomic and financial policies, updated forecasts, insights on financing plans, and other information on forthcoming events that are of particular interest to the investors in the country’s debt and equity instruments.

7. Participates in local and global conferences, seminars and training programs that help build and strengthen capacity for sovereign-investor relations. 

B. Qualification Standards*

              Education :  Master's degree relevant to the job;
              Experience :  10 years of relevant experience; 5 years of supervisory experience;
              Training :  120 hours of managerial training;
              Eligibility :  Career Service (Professional) Second Level Eligibility

*  With a background in economics and relevant experience in writing and collaborating with stakeholders and the media for effective economic information, programs and policies to investors and the general public
