FCDU Deposit Liabilities Hit a New High at $17.4 Billion

10.20.2006

FCDU deposit liabilities continued to rise for the second week and reached a new end-of-week high for the year at $17.4 billion on 22 September 2006. This level is $0.1 billion (0.58 percent) and $2.3 billion (15.23 percent) higher than the week-ago and year-ago levels of  $17.3 billion (15 September 2006) and  $15.1 billion (23 September 2005), respectively.

The increase in the level of FCDU deposit liabilities is brought about by additional short term special savings deposits from the manufacturing, realty and utilities sector.
