FCDU Deposit Liabilities Slid to $18.077 Billion

05.04.2007

After an upward trend for three consecutive weeks, the FCDU Deposit Liabilities as of 30 March 2007 declined to $18.077 billion from last week’s (23 March 2007) $18.222 billion.  Though lower by $145 million (0.8 percent) than previous week’s level, it is higher by $364 million (2.05 percent) than the previous month’s (28 February 2007) $17.713 billion and by $2.085 billion or 13.04 percent than last year’s (31 March 2006) $15.991 billion.

The month-on-month and year-on-year both increases of $364 million and $2.085 billion, respectively, were attributed to the rise in resident and non-resident deposits.
