The computers were funded from coin production savings of the BSP from the recirculation of coins through “Tulong Barya Para sa Eskwela,” a joint program of the DepEd and the Bangko Sentral to promote efficient recirculation of our coins by encouraging coin donations for public elementary schools. Total benefits raised by “Tulong Barya” for public schools reached about P14.8 million: P6.5 million in cash and the balance in computers.
