Advisory: Merchants SLA, Inc. and Merchants RB of Talavera

For the guidance of all concerned, Merchants Savings and Loan Association, Inc. and Merchants Rural Bank of Talavera (MRBT), both using the name "Merchants Bank" in their signages, are different entities, completely unrelated to each other, having different stockholders and belonging to different classification of banks.  MSLAI is a thrift bank while MRBT is a rural bank.

MSLAI or Merchants Bank, the thrift bank which has 21 branches nationwide, is fully capitalized at P487 Million and has not been experiencing liquidity problems.
