Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Governor Amando M. Tetangco, Jr. led the annual awards ceremony and appreciation lunch for BSP stakeholders in NCR and Region IV, comprised of officials from private corporations, financial institutions, government agencies and the academe. The event, with the theme, "Ikaw at ang BSP: Working for Sustainable and Inclusive Growth", was held on 6 July 2011 at the BSP Assembly Hall.
The Bank of the Philippine Islands emerged as the Best Commercial Bank Respondent for Overseas Filipino Remittances for the third consecutive year, earning a Hall of Fame award in the process. Meanwhile, the awards for Top Commercial Bank in Generating Remittances from Overseas Filipinos was conferred to Banco de Oro for the third straight year, likewise elevating the bank to the Hall of Fame.
