BSP Honors its Stakeholders


Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Governor Amando M. Tetangco, Jr. led the annual awards ceremony and appreciation lunch for BSP stakeholders in NCR and Region IV, comprised of officials from private corporations, financial institutions, government agencies and the academe.  The event, with the theme, "Ikaw at ang BSP: Working for Sustainable and Inclusive Growth", was held on 6 July 2011 at the BSP Assembly Hall.  

The Bank of the Philippine Islands emerged as the Best Commercial Bank Respondent for Overseas Filipino Remittances for the third consecutive year, earning a Hall of Fame award in the process.  Meanwhile, the awards for Top Commercial Bank in Generating Remittances from Overseas Filipinos was conferred to Banco de Oro for the third straight year, likewise elevating the bank to the  Hall of Fame.  Completing the awards categories and its recipients were:

This yearly event is a way of giving recognition to institutional partners all over the country who have provided exemplary support to the BSP's various statistical initiatives, information requirements and advocacy programs.   The BSP will also honor other stakeholders in areas outside NCR in various awards categories including BES Outstanding Respondents, Recognition for Financial Learning Campaign, and Information Sources for the Report on Regional Economic Developments.
