BSP Holds 2011 Awards Ceremony and Appreciation Lunch for Stakeholders in Cebu

In celebration of the Bangko Sentral's 18th anniversary in July, the BSP will hold the 2011 Awards Ceremony and Appreciation Lunch for Stakeholders in Region VII who have provided exemplary support to the BSP's statistical undertakings, information needs and advocacy programs. The event, with the theme "Ikaw at ang BSP: Working for Sustainable and Inclusive Growth," will be held on Friday, 15 July 2011 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the BSP Cebu Regional Office, Cebu City.  The BSP will confer awards to the Outstanding Respondent among Large and Medium Firms and the Outstanding Respondent among Small Firms for the Business Expectations Survey.  They were selected from the country's top corporations from the region.

Monetary Board Member Alfredo C. Antonio will lead in honoring this year's awardees and stakeholders.

This occasion will kick-start the BSP's regional stakeholders' events which will be held from July to September 2011 in eight areas outside the National Capital Region (AONCR) to honor stakeholders in various awards categories.  These include Business Expectations Survey Outstanding Respondents, Recognition for Financial Learning Campaign partners, and Information Sources for the Report on Regional Economic Developments.  Stakeholders of the BSP in NCR and Region IV were earlier recognized during the awards ceremony held last 6 July 2011 at the BSP Main Office.  A total of 29 awardees were also feted for their outstanding support and participation in the BSP's survey and advocacies, two of which were also elevated to the Hall of Fame.

This event is expected to further strengthen the partnerships between the BSP and its stakeholders in information gathering and advocacy campaigns that will help it carry out its mandate of maintaining price stability and promoting financial stability in the country.
