BSP Meets with Nippon Keidanren Officials

Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Governor Amando Tetangco, Jr. (center) recently met with members of the Nippon Keidanren (Japan Business Federation) headed by its Chairman Hiromasa Yonekura (left) and Japanese Ambassador to the Philippines Toshinao Urabe (right). Governor Tetangco and the business federation officials discussed common areas of interests, particularly strengthening regional financial cooperation and fostering technical collaboration. The Japan Business Federation is an extensive economic organization in Japan comprised of over 1,600 member companies. During the meeting, Governor Tetangco also emphasized the BSP’s commitment in carrying out its role of maintaining price stability by conducting sound monetary policy, ensuring a stable banking system, and further developing a reliable and efficient payments and settlements system.
