                                 .
Horizon Can Corporation was also recognized as the Outstanding Respondent among Small Firms in the region for the third consecutive year. As such, the company was also conferred the Hall of Fame Award for Outstanding Respondent among Small Firms this year. Established in 1997, the company is engaged in manufacturing of cans for tuna canneries.   It is headed by Mr. Harijadi Sutiana.

Also awarded the Recognition for Information Sources for the Report on Regional Economic Developments is the National Statistical Coordination Board, Regional Division XII (NSCB-RD). It is headed by Regional Unit Head Ms. Herlita G. Caraan.

This annual event is one way by which the BSP gives recognition to BES respondents as well as public and private institutions that have provided exemplary support to the BSP’s various statistical initiatives, information requirements and advocacy programs.   Stakeholders of the BSP in the National Capital Region were earlier recognized during the awards ceremony at the BSP Main Office on 4 July 2012.  The event in Region XII, which the BSP has been holding since 2010, is the fourth among the regional events for this year.  Similar occasions will be held in the remaining five areas outside the National Capital Region from August to September 2012.
