The Awards Ceremony and Appreciation Lunch for Stakeholders of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) in Region VII, held at the Banking Hall, BSP Cebu Regional Office, Cebu City on 9 August 2016, was led by Monetary Board Member Alfredo C. Antonio.
Muramoto Audio-Visual Philippines, Inc. won the award for Outstanding Respondent among Large and Medium Firms while the Phil-Japan Metals and Refined Products Co., Inc. was acclaimed as the Outstanding Respondent among Small Firms for the Business Expectations Survey in Region VII. The Philippine Statistics Authority-Region VII was recognized as the Outstanding Partner for Source of Information for the Report on Regional Economic Developments. ABS-CBN Cebu/DYAB Cebu was acknowledged as the Outstanding Regional Partner in Currency Programs of the BSP for Demonetization of the New Design Series. Lastly, the Outstanding Regional Partner for Implementing BSP Advocacy on the Conduct of Public Information Campaigns was given to the Department of Education Bohol Province. Each awardee received the “Dynamic Balance, Philippine Eagle” trophy crafted by visual artist and multi-awarded sculptor, Mr. Ferdinand Cacnio.
This event attests to the successful alliances that have helped the BSP maintain price and financial stability and ensure an efficient payments and settlement system. Stakeholders of the BSP in the National Capital Region were earlier commended during the awards ceremony at the BSP Main Complex, Manila on 13 July 2016. The annual stakeholders’ awards in Region VII marks the 13th time that the BSP has recognized stakeholders in the region and is the fifth in a series of 12 regional awarding for this year.
