CLSF Adopts BSP's Coin Recirculation Program to Fund School Building Project

09.09.2016

In a show of support for the BSP’s Coin Recirculation Program, BSP Deputy Governor Diwa Guinigundo (right) of the Monetary Stability Sector is presented with coins in  various denominations   by   Bishop   Daniel  Balais  (left)  of  the  Christ  the  Living  Stone  Fellowship  (CLSF) in Mandaluyong City. The low-denomination coins collected by the Church from its members were sorted, counted and will be exchanged for banknotes at the nearest SM Retail outlet. Proceeds will go into the construction of their church school building. The coins collected, which supports the BSP coin recirculation program, will enable retailers to gather much-needed coins to comply with the newly-enacted “No Short-Changing Law.” Efficient coin recirculation favors consumers, retailers and enables the BSP to save on production cost from minting new coins.
