Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Chairs the 13th ASEAN Central Bank Governors' Meeting in Cebu

Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Governor Amando M. Tetangco, Jr. (6th from left) chaired the 13th ASEAN Central Bank Governors’ Meeting (ACGM) on 7 April 2017 held at Shangri-la Mactan, Cebu. ASEAN central banks affirmed the critical role of Qualified ASEAN Banks in facilitating intra-ASEAN trade and investment; acknowledged the significance of ASEAN payment and settlement systems that are safe, cost-efficient and more connected; reiterated the importance of capital market settlement and policy harmonization and standardization; and emphasized financial inclusion initiatives to deliver financial products and services to a wider, under-served community.
