BSP Holds 2018 Awards and Appreciation Ceremony for Stakeholders in Region IV


As part of its 25th anniversary celebration, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) will host the             2018 Awards and Appreciation Ceremony for BSP Region IV Stakeholders who have provided exemplary support to its statistical undertakings, information needs, advocacy programs, and its various initiatives and activities. Focusing on the theme “Reinforcing Partnerships, Defying New Challenges,” the event will be held on Friday, 14 September 2018, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at the Joya Pavillion, Hotel Kimberly Tagaytay. The awards ceremony will be led by Monetary Board Member Peter B. Favila and Deputy Governor  Chuchi G. Fonacier.

The BSP will give fifteen (15) awards to outstanding partners for the following categories: for the Information Support category—two (2) for the Business Expectations Survey (BES), one (1) for the Cross Border Transactions Survey (CBTS), two (2) for Sources of Information for the Report on Regional Economic Developments; and the Advocacy Support category—one (1) for Financial Learning Campaign (FLC), one (1) for Financial Inclusion  Champion,  one (1) for Asset Disposal,  three (3) for the Currency Programs of the BSP and one (1) for Implementing BSP Advocacy on the Conduct of Public Information Campaigns. The Gold Hall of Fame Award will be accorded to three (3) outstanding partners who won in the same award category for three consecutive years.
 The award for Outstanding Respondent among Large and Medium Firms and the Outstanding Respondent among Small Firms will be accorded to the BES respondents who participated regularly in the survey and provided timely, complete, accurate, and consistent responses. The Outstanding Respondent for CBTS will be granted to respondents who provided timely, consistent, accurate, and complete information on their international transactions. The Outstanding Partners for the Report on Regional Economic Developments will be awarded to the agencies or institutions that provided the BSP with information support in the regions. The Outstanding Partner for Financial Learning Campaign award will be given to an Overseas Workers Welfare Administration’s (OWWA) regional office that exhibited strong partnership with BSP contributing to the attainment of the objectives of the BSP’s FLC by educating Overseas Filipinos and their families on the importance of using remittances to build up savings and investments. The Outstanding Financial Inclusion Champion award will be granted to a bank with contribution to financial inclusion through its own market-based and innovative initiatives. The Asset Disposal Partner of the Year award will be conferred to the exceptional performance by third party brokerage individuals or firms that have been instrumental in the expeditious disposal of BSP-acquired assets and have demonstrated high regard for professionalism and adherence to the BSP guidelines and standards. Meanwhile, the Outstanding Regional Partners for Currency Programs will be awarded to the agencies or institutions that supported the BSP’s currency programs and advocacies in the regions, such as the clean note policy, coin recirculation, and demonetization of the new design series. Lastly, the Outstanding Regional Partner for Implementing BSP Advocacy on the Conduct of Public Information Campaigns will be awarded to the agency or institution that supported the BSP’s public information campaigns conducted in the regions. 

This occasion is the ninth (9th) in a series of the BSP’s regional stakeholders’ events held from July to September 2018 in 12 areas outside the National Capital Region to honor stakeholders in various award categories. Stakeholders of the BSP in the National Capital Region were earlier honored during the awards ceremony held last 10 July 2018 at the BSP Main Complex, Manila.
