As part of its 25th anniversary celebration, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) will host the 2018 Awards and Appreciation Ceremony for BSP Region II Stakeholders, who have provided exemplary support to its statistical undertakings, information needs, advocacy programs, and its various initiatives and activities. The award for Outstanding Respondent among Large and Medium Firms and the Outstanding Respondent among Small Firms will be accorded to the BES respondents who participated regularly in the survey and provided timely, complete, accurate, and consistent responses. The Outstanding Partner for the Report on Regional Economic Developments will be awarded to the agency or institution that provided the BSP with information support in the regions. The Outstanding CSF LGU Partner will be conferred to the LGU for its outstanding contribution and support to the CSF that helps in the advance development of the Micro Small Medium Enterprises under its jurisdiction. The Kapit-Bisig Award for LGU Coordination will be granted to the most active partner whose submissions of the prescribed reports are deemed compliant with the provisions of the Memorandum of Agreement on Information Sharing Arrangements between the BSP and the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG). Meanwhile, the Outstanding Regional Partners for Currency Programs will be awarded to the agencies or institutions that supported the BSP’s currency programs and advocacies in the regions, such as the Clean Note Policy, Coin Recirculation and Demonetization of the New Design Series. The Outstanding Regional Partner for Implementing BSP Advocacy on the Conduct of Public Information Campaigns will be given to the agency or institution that supported the BSP’s public information campaigns conducted in the regions.
This occasion is the last in a series of the BSP’s regional stakeholders’ events held from July to October 2018 in 12 areas outside the National Capital Region to honor stakeholders in various award categories. Stakeholders of the BSP in the National Capital Region were earlier honored during the awards ceremony held last 10 July 2018 at the BSP Main Complex, Manila.
In keeping with the theme, reinforcing partnerships with stakeholders will further strengthen the collaboration of the BSP and its partners in gathering information and conducting advocacy campaigns. This will help in defying new challenges in carrying out the BSP’s objectives of safeguarding price stability and promoting a healthy financial system as well as ensuring an efficient payments and settlement system in the country.
