BSP Cites Stability of Banking System During Annual Bankers' Reception

Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Governor Nestor A. Espenilla, Jr. said the banking system is sound and stable and remains a key anchor of the growing economy during the reception for the banking community hosted by the BSP last January 25 at the Fort San Antonio Abad in Manila. In his speech delivered by BSP Deputy Governor Chuchi G. Fonacier, the BSP’s Officer-in-Charge (OIC) on the day of the event, Governor Espenilla enjoined the banking community to continue pushing for reforms that will propel the industry towards a more stable and inclusive financial system. Medalla, Finance Secretary Carlos G. Dominguez III, Peter B. Favila, and Antonio S. Abacan, Jr.
