For OFWs Only: BSP to Accept Currency of Kuwait, Iraq, Turkey & Israel

Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) has added banknotes from Iraq, Kuwait, Turkey and Israel in its list of acceptable foreign currencies for conversion to pesos, as a special service to OFWs who may have to come home due to the Middle East crisis. OFWs have seven days from their arrival to convert these currencies into pesos at bank branches at Philippine international airports, authorized banks, or at BSP offices in Manila and the provinces. Each OFW are allowed to exchange up to ten thousand pesos worth of Kuwaiti Dinar, Iraqi Dinar, Israeli Shekel, and Turkish Lira. Shown above are samples of each currency.
