MOA on Information Exchange

04.19.2006

Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Governor Amando M. Tetangco, Jr. (fourth from left) congratulates the other members of the Financial Sector Forum (FSF) after sealing an agreement formalizing information sharing framework covering the four agencies comprising FSF: the BSP, Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Insurance Commission (IC) and the Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation (PDIC). FSF is an interagency body that provides an institutionalized framework for coordinating the supervision and regulation of the financial system. The Multilateral MOA on Information Exchange sets the framework for the sharing of reports and information essential in effectively performing the complementary mandates and regulatory functions of each agency over financial institutions. Present during the signing at the BSP were (from left) IC Division Chief for Statistics Lorna D. de Leon; BSP Deputy Governor Nestor A. Espenilla, Jr.; PDIC OIC Imelda S. Singson; SEC Commissioner Atty. Jose P. Aquino; and PDIC Vice President for Insurance Risk Assessment Services Group Cynthia B. Marcelo.
