1 Interest rates above refer to averages of the highest and lowest actual rates charged or paid for the use of money and exclude credit card and microenterprise loan rates.
Short-, medium- and long-term interest rates are for loans and receivables with maturity period of 1 year and below, over 1 year to 5 years, and over 5 years, respectively.
Some banks charge lower interest rates on medium and long-term loans compared to short-term loans because the former are secured by collaterals.
Starting 1 January 2020, universal and commercial banks are required to submit the amended reporting templates on banks' lending and deposit rates or
"Interest Rates on Loans and Deposits (IRLD)" in accordance with Circular Nos. 1029 and 1037, series of 2019. Meanwhile, banks' submission of IRLD weekly reports
that fall due within the  months March-June 2020 is suspended until further notice (per BSP Memorandum Nos. M-2020-011 dated 19 March 2020 and M-2020-049
dated 9 June 2020). Data reported for January-March 2020 are preliminary and subject to validation by banks.
