Daily NEER is the weighted average of the bilateral exchange rates of the peso with the currencies of trading partners: Australia, Euro Area, USA, Japan,
Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, China, Saudi Arabia, and United Arab Emirates, starting at 1980=100.
The index is computed using the chained geometric method.
An increase in the index means an overall appreciation of the peso against the basket of currencies, while a decrease indicates otherwise.
The percent change are changes in the appreciation/depreciation of the NEER.
Some figures were revised due to updates in the weights used.
