The BSP is deploying coin deposit machines, or CoDMs, in partner retail establishments across the Greater Manila Area to encourage the public to deposit their idle coins in the CoDMs and to promote efficient coin recirculation in the country.
Through the CoDM project, the BSP aims to address the artificial coin shortage in certain areas of the country and help ensure that only fit and legal tender currency is readily available for public use.

The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) is encouraging Filipinos who have accumulated idle coins to convert these to e-wallet credits or shopping vouchers by using Coin Deposit Machines (CoDM) installed at selected shopping malls in the country.

In response to growing demand, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) has deployed 15 additional coin deposit machines (CoDMs) in the last few weeks, bringing to 25 the total number of units available across the Greater Manila Area. The first CoDMS were launched last June.

The Coin Deposit Machines (CoDMs) of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) have accepted over PHP87.4 million worth of coins with over 20,000 transactions in 3 months since its launch on June 20.

The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) and its partner retailers launched the Coin Deposit Machines (CoDM) today, 20 June 2023, to promote efficient coin recirculation in the country. Through the CoDM project, the BSP encourages the public to deposit their idle coins stored in their jars, piggy banks, and other containers in accessible, convenient, and efficient coin exchange facilities in participating malls.
