Knowledge Resource Network
An initiative introduced to further advocate public awareness of monetary policy and other essential economic and financial concepts is the establishment of the Knowledge Resource Network (KRN) which was approved by the Monetary Board of BSP in December 2016. To date, the BSP signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) agreements with 285 libraries of local government units, state universities/colleges and private academic institutions and established Knowledge Resource Collections (KRCs) in the National Capital Region (NCR) and 80 provinces in the country. These KRCs feature various BSP publications such as books, annual reports, handbooks, comics, guidebooks, brochures and audio-visual materials. Aside from these publications, the BSP Library also provides information resource sharing and reference assistance services to KRN partners free of charge. It also regularly updates its partners with the latest publications on economics and finance from BSP and other international financial institutions through a monthly online newsletter,
KRN Update Newsletter. These engagements via KRN support BSP's economic and financial literacy advocacy and brings BSP information resources within reach of the Filipino people.
In 2022, KRN aims to reach even more knowledge-seekers by expanding its partnership to LGU-funded universities and colleges nationwide and senior high schools in 81 provinces, including Sulu.
