The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) +3 Macroeconomic Research Office (AMRO) is a regional macroeconomic surveillance organization that aims to contribute to securing the macroeconomic and financial stability in the ASEAN+3 region. Initially established as a company limited by guarantee in Singapore in April 2011, AMRO focuses on three core functions: (1) conducting macroeconomic surveillance, (2) supporting the implementation of the Chiang Mai Initiative Multilateralisation (CMIM); and (3) providing technical assistance to members.

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) is committed to achieving a prosperous, inclusive, resilient, and sustainable Asia and the Pacific, while sustaining its efforts to eradicate extreme poverty. It assists its members and partners by providing loans, technical assistance, grants, and equity investments to promote social and economic development. ADB is currently composed of 68 member countries, 49 of which are from the Asia and Pacific region.

The Association of the Southeast Asian Nation (ASEAN) is a political and economic organization aimed primarily at promoting economic growth, active collaboration, mutual assistance, and regional peace and stability among its members. ASEAN is currently composed of ten (10) member states: Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Viet Nam.

The ASEAN+3 Finance Process aims to strengthen policy dialogue, coordination, and collaboration on common financial, monetary, and fiscal issues. When it was established, the Process has four components: (i) the Economic Review and Policy Dialogue (ERPD); (ii) the Chiang Mai Initiative (CMI); (iii) the Asian Bond Markets Initiative (ABMI); and (iv) the ASEAN+3 Research Group. In the last decade, the components has evolved into three major elements: (a) the ASEAN+3 Macroeconomic Research Office (AMRO); (b) the Chiang Mai Initiative Multilateralisation (CMIM); and (c) the ABMI. The membership of the ASEAN+3 encompasses the ten ASEAN Member States plus China, Japan and Korea.

The BIS is an international organization with headquarters in Basel, Switzerland that aims to foster international monetary and financial cooperation and serves as the bank for Central Banks (CBs). BIS is composed of 62 central banks. The BIS fulfills its mandate by acting as: (1) a forum for discussion and decision-making among CBs; (2) a centre for economic and monetary research; (3) a prime counterparty for CBs in their financial transactions; and (4) agent or trustee in connection with international financial operations.

CEMLA is the association of central banks of Latin America and the Caribbean that aims to promote a better understanding of monetary and banking matters; help with improving the training of central bank staff; conduct research and systematize the results; and provide information to members about events of international and regional interest in the areas of monetary and financial policies. Based in Mexico City, at present, CEMLA is composed of 51 member institutions, 30 of which are Associate members and the rest are Collaborating members (11 central banks from other regions and 10 financial institutions).

EMEAP is a cooperative organization of central banks and monetary authorities in the East Asia and Pacific region, with the primary objective of strengthening cooperation on monetary and central banking issues among its members. EMEAP is currently composed of 11 member central banks: People's Bank of China; Hong Kong Monetary Authority; Bank Indonesia; Bank of Japan; Bank of Korea; Bank Negara Malaysia; Reserve Bank of New Zealand; Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas; Monetary Authority of Singapore; and Bank of Thailand.

IIF is a global association of the financial institutions that aims to support the financial industry in the prudent management of risks; to develop sound industry practices; and to advocate for regulatory, financial and economic policies that are in the broad interests of its members and foster global financial stability and sustainable economic growth. IIF has over 450 members from more than 70 countries around the globe.

The Intergovernmental Group of Twenty-Four on International Monetary Affairs and Development (G-24) is a global forum of 28 members that coordinates the position of developing countries on monetary and development issues in the deliberations and decisions of the Bretton Woods Institutions (BWI). In particular, the G-24 focuses on issues on the agendas of the International Monetary and Financial Committee (IMFC) and the Development Committee (DC) as well as in other relevant international fora. Member countries include: Algeria; Argentina; Brazil; Colombia; Congo; Cote D’ivoire; Ecuador; Egypt; Ethiopia; Gabon; Ghana; Guatemala; Haiti; India; Iran; Kenya; Lebanon; Mexico; Morocco; Nigeria; Pakistan; Peru; Philippines; South Africa; Sri Lanka; Syria; Trinidad and Tobago; and Venezuela. China attends as a special invitee.

The IMF is an international organization of 189 member countries and its fundamental mission is to ensure the stability of the international monetary system. It does so in three ways: (1) keeping track of the global economy and the economies of member countries through annual Article IV consultations; (2) lending to countries with balance of payments difficulties; and (3) giving practical help to members through technical assistance and trainings. The Philippines is a member of the IMF since 1945 and the BSP Governor serves as the Philippine Governor to the IMF Board of Governors. The Philippines is represented in the IMF Executive Board though the Southeast Asia Voting Group (SEAVG) Constituency.

The Official Monetary and Financial Institutions Forum (OMFIF) is an independent think tank for central banking, economic policy and public investment, providing a neutral platform for public and private sector engagement worldwide. Established in 2010, OMFIF focuses on global policy and investment themes relating to central banks, sovereign funds, pension funds, regulators and treasuries, with offices based in London, Singapore and the United States.

The SEACEN Centre has envisioned itself to be the regional learning hub for central banks (CBs) in the Asia-Pacific Region. It aims to build capacity in central banking and foster networking and collaboration. The SEACEN Centre is composed of 19 regular member CBs, each of which is represented in the SEACEN Board of Governors. Meanwhile, the Centre has an outreach of 16 other CBs which are invited to the Centre’s learning programmes.

The WB is a global financial institution that aims to reduce the share of the global population living in extreme poverty to 3 percent by 2030 and promote shared prosperity by increasing the incomes of the poorest 40 percent of people in every country. Comprised of 189 member countries, the WB offers financing instruments through investment project financing, development policy financing, program-for-results, trust funds and grants, private sector options, customized options and risk management and multiphase programmatic approach. It also offers technical Assistance, Reimbursable Advisory Services, Economic and Sector Work, Business advice and Donor aid coordination.

The World Trade Organization (WTO) is the only global international organization dealing with the rules of trade between nations. At its heart are the WTO agreements, negotiated and signed by the bulk of the world’s trading nations and ratified in their parliaments. The goal is to ensure that trade flows as smoothly, predictably and freely as possible. The WTO has over 160 members representing 98 percent of world trade and over 20 countries are seeking to join the WTO.

The SEANZA is composed of 20 member countries: Australia, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, People’s Republic of China, Hong Kong, China, Indonesia, Iran, Japan, Republic of Korea, Malaysia, Macau, China, Mongolia, Nepal, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand. SEANZA was formed to promote cooperation among central banks by providing intensive and systematic training courses for central bank staffs. Training courses are held biennially with a rotating system of host members.
