The Research Experts Panel (REP) is one of the programs established to strengthen the BSP’s research capacity. The aim of the REP is to provide support to the research and learning programs of the BSP by giving guidance on the conduct of research and help in the dissemination of BSP research in international conferences and in the submission to domestic and international peer-reviewed journals. REP members are also involved in various research conferences and research activities of the BSP. They conduct lectures on research topics that are of interest to the BSP research community. They likewise foster closer ties with international institutions and other experts for research collaboration.
The BSP Research Academy and the Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS) are the two (2) Philippine member institutions to the ASEAN+3 Finance Think-tank Network (AFTN). An initiative of the ASEAN+3 Macroeconomic Research Office (AMRO), the BRAc and PIDS together with 20 other leading research institutions in the region are signatories to the AFTN Memorandum of Cooperation launched last 29 September 2023.
The Doctoral Research Program (DRP) is offered by the BRAc as part of its mandate to support research collaboration and networking among BSP researchers and external researchers. Under the DRP, Filipino students enrolled in PhD programs in economics, finance, statistics, and other related fields can work on their dissertation at the BSP. This provides a venue for graduate students to interact and exchange ideas with BSP researchers on their research topic.
The Research Huddle Seminar Series features ongoing and completed research work by BSP researchers and invited guests. It is a weekly forum of free and open discussion.

The BSP-UP Professorial Chair Lecture Series is an annual event hosted by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) in cooperation with the University of the Philippines (UP). UP Professorial Chairholders are invited to give a lecture on their written research output at the BSP.
The BSP-UPSE Distinguished Lecture Series, launched in July 2022, aims to provide a venue for distinguished researchers in the fields of Monetary and Financial Economics to share their knowledge and expertise on topics particularly relevant to emerging economies like the Philippines.
The BSP International Research Conference is a biennial event that engages central banks and leading experts from academia in the discussion of emerging and pressing policy issues. The 2021 conference marks the first time that the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) is joined by the Reinventing Bretton Woods Committee (RBWC). The partnership could not have been more timely. The breadth and depth of the COVID-19 crisis have profound social, health, economic, and geopolitical ramifications. Central banks are confronted with multiple policy issues that may persist in the years to come and can, potentially, serve as fodder to future crises.
The papers present draft research output and are being disseminated for discussion purposes. Comments are welcome and may be sent to the corresponding authors' email addresses. The views expresed in the discussion papers are those of the authors and do not represent the official position of the BSP.
The BSP Economic Newsletter aims to provide to the BSP community and the public a readily accessible, up-to-date, concise and reader-friendly compendium of studies on current economic and financial issues.
The BSP Working Paper Series constitutes studies relevant to central banks, which are conducted by BSP researchers and occasionally, in collaboration with external contributors. The working papers are reviewed by the Editorial Committee, led by the Deputy Governor of the Monetary and Economics Sector.
Serves primarily as a forum for presenting the research findings of BSP staff; includes analytical and policy-oriented research articles on various economic, financial and statistical issues of interest to the BSP.
The BSP International Research Conference Volume is the compendium of research papers presented during the BSP International Research Conference that is held every two years. The biennial conference aims to foster learning and sharing of experiences among researchers and central bankers on current policy issues, and the volume augments the learning externalities by its capacity to disseminate information beyond the confines of the conference itself. Areas of the research topics include the fields of macroeconomics, monetary economics, financial stability, and forecasting and modeling.
The BSP Research Blog presents the views and analysis of BSP researchers based on BSP publications, current research and developments.
