EFLO Learning Session: The Core Functions of the BSP
As the BSP’s focal point of contact of the public on information concerning economic and financial matters, the Economic and Financial Learning Office (EFLO) conducts learning sessions on the core functions of the BSP and its role in the Philippine economy.
The 45- to 60- minute* learning session will focus on the discussion of the following core mandates of the BSP:
- Price Stability - general concepts of inflation and monetary policy;
- Financial Stability - overview of financial supervision and regulation as well as systemic risk management; and
- Payments and Settlements Systems - BSP's policy and regulatory framework and infrastructure.
* Additional 15-30 minutes can be alloted for Open Forum
This may be delivered through virtual, blended/hybrid, or face-to-face modalities depending on the resource requirements, and health and security conditions.
For the meantime, it is being conducted
virtually.
- The webinar platform for BSP-hosted session is
Zoom. Other platforms to be provided by the requesting party (i.e., Google Meet, WebEx, Streamyard etc.) may be used subject to EFLO’s assessment/approval.
- Minimum of fifty (50) attendees per session
- Should at least be senior high school students (Grade Eleven)
The conduct of the learning session is free but reservation is required through the link below at least ten (10) business days in advance for scheduling and logistical arrangements.

- Mondays to Fridays (except during public holidays and when coinciding with special BSP activities/events)
- Time: 10:00 AM or 2:00 PM*
* Participants are requested to be at the venue (for face-to-face sessions) or log-in at the online meeting/conference application (for virtual sessions) at least 10 minutes ahead of schedule.
Orderly, polite, cooperative, and respectful conduct is expected from participants.
